The 2016 Marshall Premiership season started out well for the Markham Irish Canadian Rugby Club Senior Men's team as they handed Oakville Crusaders a convincing 58-15 loss this past Saturday at Fletcher's Field. Rogers TV game of the week didn't disappoint for the millions of fans watching around the world as Markham struck early and often. Oakville Crusaders lead by former MICRC Senior Men's Coach Rodin (Koko) Lozada couldn't gain any momentum with the quick moving Markham team.
Earlier in the day the Senior Men's Seconds team tied 8-8 in what will be a good learning game for the team. All focus now is on Waterloo County whom recently moved up to the Premiership and lost their opening match 25-19 to the Balmy Beach Rugby Club.
