Markham Win Mag 7s

After a 12 year hiatus, Ontario hosted their famous Magnificent 7s tournament on a dry, hot weekend in July at Fletcher's Field. The Markham Irish women fielded a 10 person team of skilled and talented players. They opened the tournament a bit slow with an initial loss against Niagara, but came back to win the next 2 games against a big Scottish team and NRU's Hamilton.

Sunday saw a tie against Norfolk to start the day, but the Irish met them again in the final. This time the green came out with the win to take home the trophy. The ladies were excited to participate in the return of this once great tournament, and look forward to defending their title next year.
